March Updates
The weather finally started cooperating this weekend (well other than the storm on Saturday) and our volunteers are getting ready for the busy season! We were hard at work already clearing trees and other debris off the trails and other areas from the winter and this weekend’s storm. There are many more projects we would like to get rolling in the coming weeks… Which leads us to WORK WEEKENDS!
We typically have a work weekend the 2nd weekend of every month March-November (when the weather cooperates) where the volunteers dedicate some time to come together to work on projects or just in general get some things done. This is a good chance to introduce yourself and help out if you have some time. This is also a great time to build your community by making friends and working together to better the club’s future!
Tentative Work Weekends (subject to change)
March 14-15
April 11-12 (Open House Prep)
May 9-10
June 13-14
July 11-12
August 8-9
September 12-13 (Open House Prep)
October 10-11 (Halloween Prep)
November 14-15 (Weather Dependent)
As always any help is appreciated as all of the “staff” you see are volunteers and are members just like everyone else. If you would like to lend a hand and are available, come out to the pavilion and see the volunteers.
February Updates
Scott and Christopher were out last weekend and plowed a good portion of the main road in and around the pavilion. With the warmer temperatures of the last few days a good chunk of the lingering snow has melted, however there are still many areas where snow/ice remain and members are reminded to use caution while riding this time of year.
Only a few more weeks remain until we can really start gearing up for peak season. Everyone is really itching to get out and get some riding in! We even saw people TENT camping last weekend!!
